This is the fourth time I have written this blog post! You can blame the dodgy internet connection for that!
We woke to a beautiful morning and we could clearly see the glacier from our hotel window. After a very well organised breakfast and packed lunch making session, we boarded the coach for Saalfelden for the Sommerrodelbahn (summer tobogganing). After an hour of waiting for the track to be dried after a particularly dewy morning, we were allowed on for our two rides. First we had to travel up the mountainside in a cable car and then we sped down the mile-long track in our 'sledges'. The fun that we had defnitely outweighed the inconveience of waiting at the start!
After the last two came down the mountain (Miss Short and Mrs Wylie), we drove over to the Krimml waterfalls (The highest in Europe) and walked up! It was quite strenuous, but the view at the top was absolutely worth it! The highlight for me (Mrs Wylie) was the owner of the shop at the top chasing after us to tell us that our pupils were the 'Best in England' and welcome in his shop any time!
On their return, some of the boys did their best to strengthen Anglo-German relations (Flirting!). Bet you can guess who???!!!
Another great day in Austria!
