Salzburg today! Mozart's birthplace. In their workbooks, the pupils were asked to sketch one of the fancy shop signs they saw, which was so they looked around and appreciated their surroundings! I got toilet signs and signs for 'no parking'! Not really what I was looking for! Salzburg was great - they found the MacDonalds!
After Salzburg, we travelled only 15 minutes to nearby Schloss Hellbrunn and it's beautiful gardens. What we didn't tell them was that the gardens contained lots of trick fountains, which squirted them with water at any opportunity!
A bit soggy, we travelled back to the hotel and spent the remainder of the afternoon swimming and sunbathing, until it was time to eat tea or watch the football on the TV!
